If you ask me if second shooters are worth the investment, I will always say without a doubt ABSOLUTELY! A second photographer isn’t just about getting more photos (obviously you do get more photos, but that’s not the point!) It’s about giving you a whole extra perspective on your day. You’ve got two people telling the story instead of one, you see two angles from every moment. You don’t just see things happening, you see the way people react to them.
I have a list of amazing photographers that I use as my second shooters. They are all fantastic people who also have their own photography businesses, so they are highly experienced. I trust them to do a fantastic job and have selected them as they have the same shooting style as me so that your final gallery will be consistent. Another aspect of having a second shooter that I love is how different our images will be. We will both use different lenses, create different compositions etc so even if we are photographing the same moment, our pictures will be different! When it comes to editing the photos, that will be all down to me! I will combine and go through, select and edit all the best images to include in your gallery.
If you have a larger wedding (100 guests plus), I always recommend a second shooter, simply because there’s only so much I can capture with one camera. All of the photos they take are then edited by me in my editing style. So all your photos will look cohesive throughout your album, there’ll just be more of them! To add a second shooter to your wedding day please let me know as soon as possible!
Morning prep photographs of both partners – ensuring that both of you have full coverage of everything that happens. This is especially helpful if you are both getting ready in separate locations. It ensures that nothing is missed and all details are photographed. The second photographer will usually be able to capture photos of your guests arriving too! Often the morning preparations can be quite hectic and it can be difficult for me to find time to photograph both partners on my own, so a second shooter can be very helpful.
Depending on your wedding day and if your ceremony will be in a church, venue or somewhere else, the second shooter will arrive earlier, so they can capture any detail shots, photos of the guests arriving, more candid moments etc. I will usually be with capturing the final getting ready shots at this time. Often morning preparations can overrun and it is really helpful to have a second shooter at the venue to capture the details I might not have time to. During the ceremony I will often ask the second shooter to stand at the back to capture the entrance and reaction shots. These shots are always just stunning. Another fave of mine is the second shooters shot of the first kiss!
For me at this time, having a second is vital! Group shots can often take quite a long time and a second photographer makes this job a lot easier. Any aunties, uncles, rogue guests that wonder off, my second shooter can help gather them quickly, making the group shots run a lot smoother and quicker, so that you can join your guests and have a chat and a mingle and maybe a canapé or two! During this time, my second shooter can also take lots of candid shots of your guests mingling. These are some of my favourite images to edit and some of the best of the day! They are the most natural and the ones you and your guests will treasure the most.
Whilst we are taking your couple portraits, my second shooter will accompany us. Taking the same photos from a separate angle, often using different lenses. You will be guaranteed a much bigger gallery with a second shooter as they will always have a completely different composition and perspective than me. They themselves are full time wedding photographers too, meaning they will bring their own creative and unique ideas on the day.
During the speeches I usually focus on the top table, and whoever is giving the speech! My second will be capturing all the reaction shots of your guests. This guarantees that no moments are missed and again some of your favourite shots will probably be from here!
Similarly to the rest of the day, having a second shooter during the evening offers a totally different perspective and increases the size of your gallery. They capture some of the best dancing shots and with the two of us there we are guaranteed not to miss a moment!
As you can probably gather, I am a huge fan of second shooters and would recommend them to everyone. I second shoot myself for some lovely photographers and always learn so much in the process. It is a great way to be creative and get the shots you usually wouldn’t have time to capture when you’re by yourself. It is more work for me, as there are so many more photos to edit but it is so worth it, and I get a little buddy for the day too!

For a lot of couples, their wedding day is their first time with a professional photographer. And no matter how confident you are in real life, cameras have a way of putting people on edge! I’m the same too and always feel nervous when having my photo taken! Engagement sessions are the best way to shake off all those nerves, get comfortable, and find your ‘camera confidence’ before the big day.
They’re also a great way for us to ‘break the ice’ and get to know each other properly face-to-face. And that way, when I turn up to your wedding, we’ll already be friends. You won’t feel nervous or on edge around me, and I can capture you just being yourselves from the very start. And last- but definitely not least- engagement shoots are an amazing experience in their own right! In the middle of all that wedding planning excitement, you get to go for a little adventure together, turn your phones off, take a breath, and focus on each other. It’ll be a romantic, really fun hour or two. And you’ll come away feeling reconnected as a couple, and absolutely buzzing for the big day.
When it comes to your engagement shoot, try and choose somewhere a bit different from your wedding venue. You could choose somewhere special to you; go to the city, do a fun activity like bowling or bar hopping or go for a walk in the woods with your fur baby! Unlike a wedding, your engagement shoot can be literally anywhere (as long as we have permission!), so make the most of the opportunity and have some fun with it. Outfits make such a big difference to the final look and feel of the photos, if you are feeling a bit lost have a look at similar locations on Pinterest or Instagram for inspo! It’s all about making sure you feel comfortable and confident. Personally, my goal is for you to strut around feeling like you’re absolutely slaying the game as the best version of yourself!
STARTING AT £400
Now don’t get me wrong, I love framed photos! But there’s something really special about a wedding album. The weight of it on your lap, the feel of it in your hands. It’s a real, tangible thing, something to hold, to value, to pass down.
And it’s immersive, it reads like a story. Every time you turn a page, all those emotions and memories from your day come rushing back. You’ll laugh, and you’ll definitely cry. You notice small details in the corners of the frame, and people’s expressions in the background. Your wedding will be the greatest chapter in your favourite love story, and an album is the best way to tell it.
I work closely with a fine-art wedding album designer based in the UK. Once you’ve received your final gallery, let me know if you’d like an album, and together we’ll design one together. Starting Price at £400,00. I also offer parent wedding albums which are ‘mini’ versions of your wedding album. These can be lovely presents to gift. These start at £250.00.
I design the albums personally and work closely with you through the whole process. I will always send you a preview to approve or make changes before the album is sent off to print and will ask you to select your favourite images that you want included. There are plenty of album cover options and colours so that the album would be completely personal to both of you. Please keep in mind that I design wedding albums out of peak wedding season – during the winter months.
